Taste of Rio is all about what to taste, see and do when in Rio de Janeiro, the city widely known for being marvelous like Christ the Redeemer on Corvodado, colorful like the carnival parades and full of sweet stuff like caipirinha and The Sugar Loaf. At the same time we want to show you all the other flavors Rio have to offer, and tell you what we find to be sour.

We have also included some practical advice that we hope can be useful when exploring the city and where to go when Rio have drained you of all your energy and you need some fresh mountain air or a quiet island without cars.

Taste of Rio is not a “full resource guide to everything” but merely flashes of inspiration sent from us to you. We hope it can help you to enjoy Rio to the fullest, not only drinking the coconut water, but also eating the inside. The rest we leave up to chance.

Boa viagem!

Coconut Meat

We hope our blog may inspire you to cut the coconut in half after drinking it, to get a taste of what is under the surface.
